“The architectural resistance against or compliance with, the tyranny of temporality.”
-Wordsworth,1810
This is what happens to buildings when humans abandon them, they go back to nature.
I decided to focus the on image of abandoned buildings succumbing to the natural world they were designed to keep out in my collection “Ruins; Reclaimed by Nature.”
Try to express the relationship between dilapidated spaces and the natural space outside them. It was fascinating for me to see how the natural spaces enter into the ruined spaces, the path chosen by nature to enter the building and induce the color and spirit of life into the ruins once again when the inhabitants left these spaces, they are a kind Reclaimed by Nature.
It is poetic, even magic, to see nature retaking what used to be hers. Reintegrating through broken windows, cracks on walls, spaces built by man and then neglected.
Nature does not wait!
